This month’s Autism 200 series presentation is Autism 209: Managing Autism, a panel discussion facilitated Karen Sporn, ARNP. In this presentation a panel from Seattle Children’s Autism Center will discuss what the role of nurse practitioner entails, including developmental monitoring; autism-related health assessment and treatment recommendations; medication consultation and management; and coordination of care and services.

News Flash: Raphe Bernier, PhD and James Mancini, SLP were invited to visit the Vinmec Hospital in Vietnam to provide trainings and metrics on the diagnosis and treatment of autism as well as discussions about scientific research on the exploration about the possible causes of autism.

This month kicks off a brand new line up of Autism 200 Series lectures for 2016. This month’s lecture will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Wright Auditorium from 7 to 8:30 p.m. These classes are designed for parents, teachers and caregivers. The topics associated with the majority of classes are applicable to all age ranges and for a wide variety of children diagnosed with autism.
